How do differenced contribute to a design’s uniqueness?

“Edges and Curves” focuses on the classic font “Bodoni 72″‘s edged and curved outlines. It only portraits the type’s numbers without reffering to any characters or letters.

This project gives the viewer a better understanding of the font’s asthetic lines, and how sharp edges and soft curves make the “Bodoni 72” unique. The cooperation of these two completely different means of composing are portrayed on a visual level. With the leporello fold, I manufactured two small, hand made booklets, which represent the book and italic style of “Bodoni 72”. It features both negative and positive numbers.

The booklets posses an endless flick through, and are able to “stand” due to the leporello fold
